Just a quickie, if you want to auto sync music, videos and photos with your Nokia on a Mac you use Nokia Multimedia Transfer. The latest version doesn’t directly support the N8. To enable support you need to install NMT, then from the menu in the system tray select “Tools and Settings”-> “Check for Updates Now” and it will update your device profiles, and you’re good to go!
A note on usage: It seems the device profile for the N8 isn’t quite correct – if you check the box to transcode unsupported video formats, then it’ll transcode any video shot by the device to 640×360 that you sync back using that feature. So I set it to never-transcode.
